With spectacular beaches, world-renowned golf courses, and miles of coastal and countryside walking virtually on the doorstep, this is an exceptional base for exploring one of Scotland's most beloved regions.

Designed to sit naturally within the landscape, this timber-clad cottage blends modern-rustic charm with an elevated setting that makes the most of sweeping open views across the rolling East Lothian countryside. French doors open the generous living space directly onto a wide stone patio, creating a seamless connection between inside and out - ideal for al fresco dining or simply watching the light change across the fields.

Inside, a double-height vaulted ceiling and generous rooflights flood the open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space with natural light throughout the day. Botanical references in the artwork and textiles draw the outside in, while the minimalist kitchen and comfortable, thoughtfully arranged living space make for a home-from-home that is as practical as it is beautiful.

The Space 

A light-filled, open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space forms the heart of the cottage, designed for relaxed and sociable stays.

• Living, Dining & Kitchen: Open plan with a full complement of integrated appliances, including a five-burner induction hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, and combination washer/dryer. A farmhouse-style dining table seats four to six guests. The sitting area features a double sofa, armchairs, and a Smart TV, all positioned to enjoy the view, with French doors opening directly onto the patio.

• Bedrooms: Two bedrooms sit on either side of the main living space, each featuring a super king-size zip-and-link bed that can be arranged as a double or twin. Both include a wall-mounted Smart TV, dressing table, wardrobe, and an upholstered window seat. 

• Bathrooms: Two en-suites feature heated towel rails, double basins, and quality fittings throughout. One offers a large wet-room style shower, while the other includes a bath and shower over.

• Boot Room: A practical boot room with bench seating and hanging rail provides easy access from the parking bay - ideal for walkers and golfers.

• Outside: A generous stone patio to the front of the property features an outdoor dining table and chairs for four, with open grounds beyond. Grass walking tracks around the surrounding arable land are available to guests and make for a wonderful hour-long stroll.

• North Berwick & Gullane (Nearby): Two of East Lothian's most beloved towns, offering independent shops, artisan cafés, excellent restaurants, and easy access to the coast. 

• Food & Drink: East Lothian punches well above its weight for food and drink. Highlights include fresh seafood at the Lobster Shack, relaxed coastal dining at The Herringbone, and destination restaurants including Drift, The Creel, and The Bonnie Badger - all within easy reach.

• Golf & Outdoors: The area is home to some of the world's best courses, including Muirfield and North Berwick West Links. Beyond the links, the coastline offers spectacular walking - from the beaches at Yellowcraig and Gullane to the wilder sands of Ravensheugh. Boat trips to the Isle of May and Bass Rock - home to the world's largest colony of Northern gannets are a memorable day out.

Bedrooms can be configured as super king doubles or twin rooms
